Spring
|
| The fresh spring air blows in early
to our seaside city. At the end of March or April,
the early forsythias and azaleas start popping up,
quickly followed by an eruption of spring blossoms.
Pack light clothing along with a few sweaters for
good measure. |

Summer
|
During the summer, Korea falls under the influence
of the high-pressure air masses that develop over
the Northern Pacific Ocean, and the weather turns
hot and humid, with the average temperature from
June to September reaching 20 C. During the mid-summer,
the temperature often hovers above 30 C. Also About
70 percent of the annual rainfall falls from June
to eptember, and monsoon season is usually in July
or August. Shorts, cotton tee shirts, thin cotton
pants are best to pack. And bring waterproof clothing
and an umbrella if you are visiting Korea in July
or August.

Fall
|
Autumn in Korea is cool with summer-like weather
often stretching into the end of September. By October,
the air turns crisper in the mornings and the leaves
have started to turn their color, but dry. Evenings
are a bit cooler so it's best to pack a light jacket
and sweater along with light shirts.

Winter
|
During the winter months, the mean temperature
is lower than other regions located on the same
latitude, due to the expansion of high-pressure
air masses formed over inland Siberia, whose strong
northwesterly winds bring dry, cold air into Korea.
Notably, the winter climate follows a predictable
cycle of three cold days followed by four warm
ones due to the rise and fall of the high-pressure
air masses. To stay warm, you'll need very warm
clothes, so be sure to pack thick parkas or coats.
